  1. It blows my mind every time I see someone pick up a cordless router and lay their hand on the bit. When there’s a battery on that thing, it’s like putting your hand over the barrel of a loaded gun. Hit the switch on accident, and you’re going for a ride in a white van. These guys preach safety, ad nauseam, then do inexplicably stupid shit like that.

  2. My first things would be table, drill, mask, M class vacuum so You dont get wife mad and urself killed, track saw, jigsaw, clamps, orbital sander, router and basic handtools.

  3. Just scored a Craftsman 10ā€ compound mitre saw for $50 on FB. Lady is selling it and its only been used 3-4 times

  4. Hello. Just found the video. Iā€™m a Crafter, Iā€™m just looking for a few tools just to start my business. I have 3 power tools. A 2 electric hand saws, a electric drill, electric hand sander.

  5. Im not sure how it happened but Ive gone in reverse, I have a drill press, router, and mitre saw. I just kept borrowing the typical stuff, so I only ever bought the more specific tools. I am tired of using my dads cheap table saw, so probably going to get that next.

  6. "we use it a ton…for a lot of stuff..mostly for cutting holes specifically in places where you want them." – true poetry šŸ™‚

  7. I got started with a lathe and a craigslist bandsaw, and it was a few years before i moved to some of the more traditional woodworking projects. Have sold a ton of bowls and pens on etsy over the years, just in the last year or so have i started on the more traditional projects like cutting boards and boxes. Bought a tablesaw first when i started working on more square projects and i do not recommend secondhand, first one i bought didnt come with the riving knife and scared the hell out of me by shooting a block of cherry right past my face and into the drywall on the opposite side of my garage, some things are ok to buy used but at least know what safety features it should have before buying. I’m still terrified of tablesaws after that šŸ˜‚

  8. Do this again, but break it up. 10 Woodworking Hand Tools. 10 Beginner Power-Tools. 10 Shop Tools (vacuums and shit).

  9. I put the router in the top 5. Especially with a table as you can just do So so… much with including jointing a straight edge. And you can get carbide bits of all shapes and sizes for next to nothing nowadays. Buy a 1/2" 2.5hp that has both fixed and plunge base if you only intend to buy 1. The pocket Hole jig I just almost despise being on this list or any list. Especially above a router or Bandsaw.

  10. It took me entirely too many videos to realize you were saying Yinz, clearly I’ve been in Western PA too long.

  11. I was scrolling thru channels wanting unique woodworking, I watch you all the time and found a channel I thought you’d like if you haven’t seen it "magic woodworking" he deserves a shout!!!

  12. safety mask safety gloves usages I think it’s important for new students who wants to start their own small wood work projects in their home because some heavy tool like Table saw and table planer machines have to be Understand how its work with safely in home.

  13. How could you put a table saw before a miter? That’s nuts lol… still a great guide for a build out if you were buying all ten at once.

  14. Was going to start subscribing, however just watched another video you did, about beginner tools and I feel from that video to this one, you contradict yourself quite a bit. Maybe just me.

  15. āš ļøāš ļøDO NOT GET A CIRCULAR SAW AS A FIRSTāš ļøāš ļøIve seen so many people saying circular saws as a first tool, there expensive and sooo dangerous blades explode and its too easy to cut ur fingers

  16. i never understood pocket screw holes. just get a dowel jig or a lamello if you want a good connection. you can also just use a saw instead of a lamello cutter
