Computer gaming rig setups were an extremely popular video topic showing the rigs and innovative solutions to cable management, and monitor placement etc. The same idea could be applied to woodworking shop setup tours from micro to macro sizes. Non-professional shops could be interesting.
yea id consider a garage a normal shop and a small shop a shed/
This was awesome!
I like it, I’m in a 15 by 15 shop and looking for ideas.
Please do more of these
Finally got around to watching this video, really fun looking at all the different solutions from the US and AUS. Let’s do more please.
Would like a suggestion on what size shop to build as a beginner workshop
I enjoyed the different ideas that the woodworkers came up with for their shops.
I like seeing what other guys my speed are doing. Thanks.
If the scraps fit in the door he keeps them, otherwise he throws them away……so he keeps the smaller pieces and throws away the larger? K…..
Hoooooo titebondkol usitovski ? Blerotavitch amerikracra alapubel puneskon gha
Rewatching this and remembering how far my shop has come in two years. Also painful to see how rushed I was in making my video! I guess I never thought you’d actually feature my shop 😂
Wow these are absolutely palatial. I’d love to see even smaller shops under 200 sq ft like 100-150 sq ft
This is really insightful, my shop is 2.8mtsx 4mts (I don’t know how much hot dogs that really is) and this kind of stuff game some ideas to implement in my shop
Cheers from Mexico
Definitely love seeing videos like this. Been listening to WTO and hope to someday have my own shop. Keep up the great work.
Why does no one have 8′ x8′ like mine !!!!
I wish my shop was that big hahaha.
200+sq/ft…how about 160 sq/ft??
Yes to workshop tours..
hi if you think their workshops are small: my workshop will be 16 by 6 feet😅
I can’t believe that I missed this video for 5 months 😭, I know I’m late to the party but YES more shop tour video’s!!! As always buddy 💯% 👍 🇬🇧.
Liked it a lot. I’m struggling with layout and storage right now myself. Mostly I see large shops with expensive tools and it’s nice to see smaller diy/hobbyists shops.
Great video. Put other folks shops’ out there for everyone to see.
Thanks for compiling this list, Marc! I like that all of the shops offered a little something different for folks to relate to and get ideas from. Keep ’em coming!
Love the reality check. Please share more.
This was great dude. I’m at Square one with a completely, stupidly, randomly, jampacked, one car garage. I want a woodshop.
That is not a small workshop.
Enjoyed the video.
Awesome 👍
Was truly going to find half sized shops for inspiration
Has a wood working shop… 3D prints boxes 😅
Its always nice to see how others utilise space in a small work area.
Impressive. You’re all in… ❤
Great ideas! I have a 20’ X 24’ garage. When I first began setting up my Garage/Shop/Multipurpose room. My wife said, it has to be neat and no clutter. That was easy I’m neat and tidy. I wish I could included pics because I get a lot of comments and compliments from friends and neighbors. I had the floor epoxy coated. I have the full complement of the usual tools, portable table saw, drill press, belt sander, spindle sander, bandsaw and of course 10” miter saw. And we just had Christmas dinner in the garage.
Great video for folks that need to live with small shops on a budget. I have a "pop up" shop in my garage that I think is very functional and I can still put my cars back in when I’m finished. (also forces me to clean up each time)
I could watch a hour of this. After 25 years I snapped ! Now I am building a whole new layout. Advice is free, I take all I can get !
Can a small workshop be enough to do fine woodworking/ open a business?
I’d watch more shop tours!
Definitely do more small shop tours! It’s hugely interesting and helpful for us sub-400 ft folks.
Yes, by all means more shop tours please. The last one in this one really connected with me because I am planning on building a 12 x 20/24 shop for my backyard. I’m getting lots of ideas on how to lay it out. Thanks for these videos.
What a lavish amount of space *drool*
Small?
I really enjoy seeing others’ small shops. I am setting up some things in my garage and need all the ideas I can get for space saving, and um, money saving. Cuz that’s a big, deep hole that’s so easy to fall into. More please!
Dig It!…..Always looking for Organizing tips…..
Doing a little research for my own upcoming small shop tour vid. Thanks for sharing these, Marc.
It was great to see a few examples in one video. I like having a variety of tours. I get more ideas I can use.
Great video. I’m building my small shop in the spring. Sure to local regs I’m limited to a 10×12 shed but I’m going to make it work.
Pee Wee!!!!!
Hey, Great video. I definitely like shop tours, because I’m just starting to need a better plan for my basement shop, which started in a corner and has spread to most of the full basement! This, of course has happened since my husband declared that the garage is “for the cars!” Whoever heard of such nonsense! 😂
I am currently without a shop. I used to do cabinets and custom furniture. I lost my last shop over a year ago. It was at a miracle low price for over 1200 sq ft. .I am transitioning into doing wood sculpting so trying to figure out what I really need. Seeing theses small shops is giving me hope for a new shop soon.
