These clips are woodworkers I watch all the time and non are Amish. Stolen videos.
The Amish love electricity when it comes to woodworking.
The Amish are absolutely amazing at everything they do.
Man the amish in my area do electrical and plumbing and use the too tier power tools of their trade.
They have meth heads that drive them around though so they dont break that rule😆
Every Amish wood shop I’ve ever saw has been more state of the art than any shop out there. I don’t know what kind of loophole they have.? But I’ll tell you it’s not hand planes and chisels. State-of-the-art saws, nail guns you name it dealt with them several times too.
These are minanites.
if the amish take as long as you do to explain how they make furniture they will have about 12 month for a chair
60 minutes my left egg
I really want to watch this video but 7:40 in… these analogies are so bad I gotta find something else
The Amish, especially of Lancaster County Pennsylvania, are not craftsmen and have lost the "Old World Methods" of even 50 years ago. The Amish are good at manufacturing and using as much modern technology as their bishop will allow. I’ve been in a few Amish shops and I know a few Amish "craftsmen". They are not skilled hand tool artisans.
The Amish are nice people and the furniture they make is nice but the notion that they are old world craftsmen or that much of the furniture making basics regarding wood selection etc is somehow unique to the Amish is a myth.
i wondered how they could build furniture in under 60 minutes.
Easy on the metaphors!
"While everyone else is running around with their fancy power tools, the Amish are quietly outworking them." This should be a ‘new age’ inspiration of bringing back the good old ways of life.
why the scenes of german ww2 soldiers eating from a gullash canon at 5:56. is that the super foods you talk about?
Horrible video. What ELSE is it like? Jesus. unwatchable garbage.
someone watched this till the end ??
This video gives a brainwashing feeling
Get to the point ! Please
WoodPrix woodworking plans are nice for that.
I think this guy was hungry when he was narrating the video
The narrator made me change to another video.
Did anyone else notice that some ‘amish’ were black.😂😂😂😂
overuse of analogies!
Hi, Tony.
Thank you very much for this educational video.
I really like what you are doing on this channel.
Every time I learn something new.
I love still life photography so I am here in the right place.
Greetings from the Netherlands, my friend.
29:20 – does anyone know the species of the wood?
An interesting video but when I realized that I’d have to endure the incessant narration for the full length of it I gave up and moved on.
3:26 I think, "Old Ironside" is made of American oak… The British also liked American oak.
shite , don’t bother watching.
I see a lot of video from AT Restoration but no credit was given????
The myth of Amish craftsmanship superiority ….has been a diminishing truth for a long time.
You talk alot of random nonsense. Please just stick to whats going on in the video
TRADITIONAL JOINERY IS HEIRLOOM QUALITY
As a woodworker I already know about the wood preparations and characteristics, but i can image how your metaphors help understand the aspects of joinery to those who are new at it. And it’s really fun for me to look at the characteristics through your examples.
"hacked" you mean kept tradition let alone religion in such current times. Just wait until the modern generation learn of the treadle saw.
Is this artificial intelligence trying to look smart
Take a sip every time you hear the word Amish. 🍷 🥃
1:58 is ash, not oak
I wish I could learn more about your cooking but the stuff about the Amish kept interrupting
I couldn’t decide if this was a food video or a comedy.
9 minuts in, noting valuable has been shown.
Worked for an Amish furniture shop for many years. Their wood shops are entirely run by pneumatic tools powered by diesel generators. A loophole somehow? What a silly video, all these other concepts like wood choice and aging behaviors are all things any wood working professionals understand.
WoodPrix is full of awesome tips. Very helpful to me.
Oddly Enough
Balsa Wood is Considered a Hard Wood
typical example of taking a handful of points and explaning them ad nauseam to make a long video. What i particulary like is both the relentless inserting of unnecessary comparisons and pc illustrations. I guess i better ask chat gpt.
I love the juxtaposition of the audio with video that presents an opposite and conflicting message: Pure genius.
One of the most sarcasticly humorous videos I have seen in a long time. Keep up the good work!
That one video of the Amish horse carriage guy getting a DUI from the police officer comes to mind. 😂😂
Is this like a school project?
If the world had to have the Amish to build all the furniture a lot of people would go without. Someone knowing and understanding those same cuts and understanding how to set up their planer, miter saw, circular saw and doing complex joints like dovetails and the like will give the same quality of any Amish products products but done in a fraction of the time and more people can enjoy their dining tables.
I live in Northen Indiana and have worked and seen Amish work in trailer factories and making furniture. They use the very same tools everyone else does. Jayco is 90% Amish workers but their quality is the same as Grand Designs, Keystone or Thor. The only Difference is they have dealt with more joinery and even then they love themselves a good Festool Domino. About the only thing they build using hand planes and old school joinery anymore is their barns. Even then many are now just pole barns with prebuilt rafters.
If the Amish started using technology they wood take over the world In a week 😂
